G-SHOCK/BABY-Gは、90年代後半より様々な環境団体とコラボレーションモデルを制作し、サポートを続けています。「Love The Sea And The Earth」というテーマのもと、イルカ・クジラと自然の素晴らしさを伝える活動に取り組む「アイサーチ・ジャパン」をサポート。G-SHOCKが40周年を迎える今年は、初代モデルを復刻したデザインです。ベースモデルは電波ソーラー機能を有した新型モデルのGMD-W5600を採用。ブラックのケースにイエローのバンドを組み合わせ、初代の持つテイストを忠実に再現。バンドには「アイサーチ・ジャパン」のロゴをプリントし、裏蓋には「Love The Sea And The Earth」のシンボルマークを刻印しています。バックライトを点灯するとイルカが現れる特別仕様です。更に、アイサーチ・ジャパンとのコラボモデルでは初めてバイオマスプラスチックを使用しています。機能面では、自然に優しい太陽光で駆動するタフソーラー、また世界6局の標準電波を受信して時刻を自動修正する電波受信機能が搭載しています。更に、BOXのプラスチック素材を全て廃⽌し紙箱には再生紙を使用。また、時計の製品袋には、ポーチとしても再利用可能な綿100%の巾着袋を取り入れました。
