The Grand Seiko SLGA007 Lake Suwa Cal.9RA2
2021 new SLGA007 is released from Grand Seiko.
It was exactly as the article (leak) I wrote in March.
This is a limited edition model equipped with Spring Drive Caliber 9RA2, and has a dial that expresses the "beautiful water surface of Lake Suwa".
The domestic list price of SLGA007, a 2021 limited edition model commemorating the 140th anniversary of Seiko's founding at the Grand Seiko Heritage Collection, is 990,000 yen.
As I wrote in the leak article, the appearance design is similar to the "white birch" equipped with the caliber 9SA5, but this is the Grand Seiko of the new Spring Drive (caliber 9RA2).
The point is that there is no "power reserve indicator" on the dial, which is a feature of Grand Seiko equipped with a spring drive, and the dial has been rearranged so that it can be seen from the case back, and the design of the dial is refreshing.
Can you see the fan-shaped indicator on the other side of the crown (behind the 9 o'clock position)?
Caliber 9RA2 has a long power reserve of 5 days (2 barrels) with an average monthly difference of ± 10 seconds.
I change my watch every day, so I don't really care about the power reserve and the daily difference, but it's an amazing spec (it's a daily routine to adjust the time while watching the morning drama).

"Lake Suwa" is located southeast of "Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo", which produces the Spring Drive model of Grand Seiko. In the silence of the early morning, the dial is impressive as if you cut out the beautiful scenery of Lake Suwa, which makes ripples in the gentle breeze across the lake.
The blue color of the dial shows various changes depending on the angle at which the light is received, and the smooth second hand sweep movement peculiar to Spring Drive overlaps, giving the expression of a water surface swaying in the breeze. The golden Grand Seiko logo and second hand give the blue dial an elegant accent, like the sparkling sunrise on the surface of the water.
The movement is equipped with the latest Spring Drive "Calibre 9RA2". The winding mechanism is equipped with an "offset magic lever" to reduce the thickness, and by incorporating two barrels, a power reserve of up to 120 hours has been achieved. The beauty of the movement with a rime-like finish found in the Shinshu region expresses the aesthetic sense unique to Grand Seiko. The diamond-cut polished slopes and pit edges reflect light from all angles, giving it a tranquil glow.
What do you think?

Grand Seiko SLGH007 “Tree Rings” 140th Anniversary Limited Edition
A lineup of pink gold cases is also available.
A model that expresses the evolution of the brand on the annual rings of
Taiki The dial with the motif of Taiki's annual rings has a wider height difference than the conventional stamped pattern, and there are hundreds of streamlined wood grain grooves. By applying fine streaks, it is finished in an original and dynamic pattern. The deep dark brown dial, reminiscent of a large tree that has grown over the years, creates a beautiful combination with a gorgeous and warm 18K pink gold case.
The index is carved out of 18K gold and gives off a delicate and beautiful shine. The SD mark at 6 o'clock (Special Dial = dial with solid gold index) shows the speciality of this model.
In addition, it is equipped with the next-generation spring drive movement "Calibre 9RA2" exclusively for Grand Seiko. The winding mechanism is equipped with an "offset magic lever" to reduce the thickness, and by incorporating two barrels, a power reserve of up to 120 hours has been achieved.
